    OFP is experiencing a period of exciting growth and seeks an experienced deadline- deadline-driven Development Manager to join our dynamic team. We are looking for passionate and collaborative fundraisers with an impeccable work ethic to contribute to our vital mission of empowering women to become change agents for themselves and their community!

    Position Summary

    The Development Manager - Annual Giving, is responsible for managing the agency’s fundraising activities to make OFP’s mission possible. The position reports to the CEO and works with external stakeholders and staff to plan and accomplish fundraising goals for the annual gala and cultivating and soliciting gifts from individual donors.

    The Development Manager - Annual Giving, is personally accountable for an annually increasing revenue goal of $500K,while playing a key role in leading peers within the development team.

    Responsibilities

    Fundraising Events

    • Play a fundamental role in planningand executing fundraising events to meet fundraising and attendance goals.
    • Actively research,engage and solicitindividuals, corporations, civic groups, and religious organizations to become paid sponsors and underwriters.
    • Ensure event collateral and publications align with agency’sestablished marketing and branding guidelines.
    • Create, maintainand update event timelines and calendar.

    Donor Relations

    • Identify, cultivate, solicit,and steward annualgifts using face-to-face solicitations, and appeals for gifts from $1,000 - $10,000 from individuals.
    • Utilize donor database/CRM to manage pipeline, promptly and accurately log activity with donors.
    • Provide reportingand analysis to review progressto include givingand cultivation.
    • Oversee and directly supportthe publication of the annual report

    Strategic Planningand Institutional Relations

    • Collaborate with the CEO and the Development team to developand implement strategies to increase annual contributions from individuals, corporations, and community partners.
    • Participate in goal-setting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting for all fundraising activities.
    • Other duties as assignedby the CEO

    Board of Directors Liaison

    • Develop, maintain, and serve as staff supportfor the development committee and special events committee
    • Analyze and report on development effortsto ensure consistency with agency mission

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Minimum of three years of progressive non-profit fundraising experience
    • Proven fundraising experience guiding individual donors through the full fundraising cycle
    • Experience workingwith volunteer leadership and committees
    • Proficiency with dataentry, query and reporting in donor management systems
    • Expertise in MicrosoftOffice Suite, with a strongemphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Highly driven and proactive with an impeccable work ethic that consistently meets deadlines and exceeds expectations.
    • Flexibility to attend donorevents, breakfasts, and dinners, etc. outside of normal working hours as needed
    • Excellent communication skills, both writtenand oral
    • Ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships.
    • Culturally aware, respectful, and appreciative of differences
    • Impeccable integrityand sense of personal accountability

    Professional Expectations

    • Maintains a clear understanding of the agencyand its strategic direction.
    • Ability to work independently without close oversight
    • Cultivates and maintainspositive relationships with team membersand program staff throughout the organization to maximize relationships and philanthropic giving to the organization.
    • Meets or exceeds established annual fundraising goals and metrics
    • Serve as a philanthropic ambassador within the agency and the community

    Benefits

    A candidate with acceptable qualifications could expect to earn $45,000per year, while a candidate with exceptional qualifications could expect to earn up to $65,000 per year.

    Our FriendsPlace currently pays 85% of the averagemonthly cost for medical insurance coverage. The agency matches up to 3% of employee IRA contributions and training dollars are allotted in the annual budget to grow your expertise in nonprofit development.
