    Join Our Team as a Communication/Community Coordinator at Eco Caminhos in Nova Friburgo, Brazil!

    Are you passionate about sustainability and community living? Would you like to work and live in the stunning mountains of Nova Friburgo, Brazil, as part of an international team dedicated to agroforestry, bioconstruction, educational activities, and ecotourism?

    Eco Caminhos is looking for a motivated and skilled Communication/Community Manager to lead our communication efforts and nurture our community. You will collaborate closely with a team of 2–3 volunteers to achieve shared goals and support our mission of creating a sustainable and thriving future.

    Key Responsibilities

    Community Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, visitors, and the local community.
    • Ensure smooth communication and cooperation between team members and volunteers.
    • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of new team members and volunteers
    • Organize events and activities to foster engagement and collaboration.

    Communication & Marketing:

    • Create engaging videos and visual content for social media and the website.
    • Write compelling blog articles and newsletters to showcase our activities.
    • Manage and update our WordPress website.
    • Develop and execute strategies to increase engagement and visibility on social media.
    • Handle email inquiries and direct communication with potential volunteers, tourists, and partners.
    • Optimize content using SEO best practices to enhance online presence.

    Volunteer Coordination:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of 2–3 volunteers assisting with communication and community activities.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality output.

    Requirements

    • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
    • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
    • Passion for sustainability, permaculture, and community-oriented living.

    Beneficial Skills

    • Experience with social media management, WordPress, and content creation.
    • Knowledge of video production, graphic design, and SEO.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Experience in community or volunteer management is a plus.
    • Conflict resolution skills to address challenges effectively.
