    Description

Children's Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) seeks a talented and strategic individual to be Gala Fundraiser and Corporate Sponsorship Director. The Annual CBTF Gala honors changemakers in the medical, corporate and community and has raised over 20 million dollars throughout its history.

Since this is a new position, the Director will have the flexibility and autonomy to craft a corporate sponsorship platform from the ground up, which is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, and event planning. The Gala has a sound foundation of potential corporate sponsors and donors.

In this role, the Director must be a highly organized and creative professional with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. The Director will be required to travel for events and meetings as needed. Their efforts would play a critical role in ensuring CBTF's mission of supporting children with brain tumors and their families continues to receive vital funding and corporate backing.

To be successful in this role, some key responsibilities and goals could include:

    1. Fundraising Strategy and Execution:
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan for the Gala, building on the foundation of the event’s 21-year history
      • Collaborate closely with the President and Board members to identify, cultivate, and engage potential high-profile donors and corporate sponsors
      • Develop, manage and support Gala co-chairs
      • Oversee Development and Event Manager and assist with sponsorship for local events
    2. Corporate Sponsorship Development:
      • Design and launch a corporate sponsorship platform to attract new sponsors and strengthen relationships with existing ones
      • Develop a range of sponsorship packages, including different levels of support (title sponsors, gold, silver, etc.), and ensure that they offer value to sponsors through visibility, brand alignment, and networking opportunities
      • Develop, track and execute a strategy for foundation and corporate grants with Development and event Manager
      • Based on Gala history the corporate fundraising goal is $650,000
    3. Donor Relations:
      • Cultivate long-term relationships with donors, ensuring that they feel connected to the mission of CBTF and understand the impact of their support
      • Implement post-event stewardship strategies to engage and thank sponsors and donors, and use their feedback to enhance future events
    4. Collaboration and Leadership:
      • Work with CBTF’s leadership, program teams, and external partners to align the corporate sponsorship platform and gala fundraising with the organization’s overall strategic goals
    5. Marketing and Communications:
      • Partner with the marketing and communications team to promote the Gala and the sponsorship opportunities through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and media partnerships
