    Title: Office Coordinator

    Work Commitment: Part-time

    The Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership (CSPL) is seeking a part time office coordinator who will be responsible for working with our grassroots members and staff to develop and grow the internal administrative capacity of our organization coalition.

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for coordinating organizational and administrative office and field support that strengthens our capacity as a coalition to build a grassroots-led and spirit-centered movement and organization that can act powerfully on our deepest values. They will be committed to advancing these efforts within a collaborative, discerning, dedicated and agile environment.

    CSPL is a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-generational spiritually-rooted organization that labors to transform racial, economic, social and environmental systemic structures through grassroots coalition building, community organizing, and liberative formation.

    CSPL envisions a conscienticized and spiritually rooted movement of people organizing from the grassroots to transform and build liberative and democratic systems in the ongoing journey towards achieving a greater approximation of God’s Kin-dom.

    What You’ll Do

    The Office Coordinator, who is based in the Chicagoland area is responsible for the following:

    • Event logistics support: You support staff, board members and grassroots leaders in planning and organizing public events, workshops and actions by providing logistical support and coordination.
    • Data and information management and tracking: You enjoy organizational management such as creating spreadsheets, tracking and recording important data and information, and managing important timelines and projects with an attention to detail.
    • Administrative coordination and back office support: You support CSPL’s staff and member leaders by helping to ensure that our office and field team has the resources and supplies necessary to organize effectively and efficiently.

    • Highly organized, creative and self-motivated: You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and are detail oriented and highly organized.
    • Excellent communication, technical and writing skills: You possess strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills. You are also confident working with various office software products such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
    • Relational and works well with others: You work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups of people (age, race, gender, class) to accomplish tasks and projects even when there are obstacles and tight timelines.
    • Commitment to supporting the team: You embrace the importance of your work in supporting organizational meetings, events, training and other activities by providing administrative support, logistical coordination, data management and more.

    If you were here right now, you would be:

    • Supporting staff to prepare for a training in a local community by coordinating the logistics for the event such as a welcoming table, printing booklets, coordinating the food and managing the registration process.
    • Researching local companies that are sustainable, POC owned and pay living wages that we can work with for our printing and other organizational needs.
    • Collaborating with staff and community members to organize the data management and tracking of our membership drive to grow our coalition of grassroots institutional and individual members.
    • Preparing for a powerful action with grassroots members and staff by ensuring that we have creative and artistic picket signs, t-shirts and buttons that can demonstrate strong membership solidarity.
    • Communicating with staff and members to ensure that our office is fully stocked with supplies for several upcoming events.
