    The position is to be filled by January 6, 2025, with an unlimited contract. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

    Donations are essential for Welthungerhilfe in the fight against hunger and poverty. Our goal of #ZeroHunger can only be achieved with the support of many partners and contributors. As Expert Philanthropy, you ensure that even more partners provide philanthropic support to Welthungerhilfe.

    Your responsibilities

    • Market and Competitor Analysis: You continuously monitor the market, identify trends, and derive potential actions from your observations.
    • Potential Analysis: Together with colleagues from the Philanthropy department, you identify potential philanthropic partners and analyze their engagement opportunities.
    • Engagement Strategies: You develop and implement innovative approaches for engaging partners – from direct outreach and network building to organizing events and creating professional pitch decks.
    • Acquisition Meetings: You meticulously prepare acquisition meetings with potential partners and independently conduct these meetings. Additionally, you organize and support appointments for the executive board or other committee members with prospective supporters.
    • Network Building and Maintenance: You establish and maintain reliable networks to build long-term partnerships for Welthungerhilfe.
    • Representation of Welthungerhilfe: You position Welthungerhilfe as a leading actor in development cooperation and actively represent the organization at events.
    • Coordination: You oversee all measures to attract new philanthropic supporters and ensure smooth coordination among all stakeholders involved.

    Your profile

    • You have a completed degree or comparable qualifications and bring at least 3 years of professional experience in sales or major donor fundraising.
    • You approach people openly and authentically, quickly earning their trust and inspiring them with our vision. Your ability to build and strengthen relationships supports our long-term partnerships.
    • You excel at analyzing complex situations, identifying potential opportunities, and developing clear strategic approaches to effectively drive our goals forward.
    • You navigate various contexts and engage with a wide range of individuals. Each situation demands your sensitivity and behavior tailored to the specific context.
    • You work independently, proactively, and enjoy bringing and implementing new ideas.
    • You share our passion for social justice and want to actively contribute to ending hunger and poverty worldwide.
    • You are fluent in German and English.
