    About the Position

    BRAC USA seeks a highly motivated and entrepreneurial candidate to join our team.

    Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Sr. Manager will be an integral part of a highly effective team to support BRAC USA’s growth and efforts to advance its poverty alleviation programs. The Sr. Manager will plan and execute activities to achieve BRAC's individual fundraising strategy and manage select stakeholder relationships and cultivate, solicit, grow, and steward a portfolio of major donors and prospects.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Individual fundraising strategy and managing select prospect, donor, and stakeholder relationships:

    • Directly identify new major gift prospects, develop strategies and solicit gifts in alignment with annual growth targets.
    • Draft correspondence for high-priority donors, stewarding their support and soliciting new and higher-level gifts.
    • Develop and manage an annual connector strategy to secure key meetings, speaking engagements and opportunities to promote BRAC’s work with key intermediaries (ex. giving platforms, wealth advisors, philanthropic advisor and circles)
    • Develop and implement in close collaboration with BRAC USA Corporate & Foundation Team, strategies to build and grow a portfolio of employee giving programs; supporting the partner engagement, process management, outreach and promotion events for the purpose of spreading the BRAC brand and inspiring individuals to raise funding and awareness for our work.
    • Develop and implement strategies to engage niche groups and aligned communities mission (ex. Bangladeshi diaspora) for the purpose of spreading the BRAC brand and inspiring individuals to raise funding and awareness for our work.
    • Create and implement new strategies, including conducting, assigning, and supervising in-depth research on prospects in order to strengthen the donor pipeline.
    • Manage select relationships with portfolio prospects and donors to maintain and strengthen their engagement and increase their donations or peer fundraising to reach established participation and financial targets.
    • Manage donor outreach and solicitation for portfolio and select prospects and donors during year-end fundraising season, including drafting content, meeting with donors and sending donor communications as required, working closely across various internal teams on campaigns.

    Develop donor-centric written materials as well as manage donor trips and events:

    • Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving to support donor/connector cultivation and stewardship trips and events, including dinners, receptions, relevant speaking engagements, and travel to BRAC’s operational countries. Oversee the management of event and travel logistics, including scheduling, list management, invitation preparation and delivery, materials development, event briefing documents, debriefings, and oversight of next actions.
    • Draft and maintain donor reports and concept notes, letters of intent, grant letters, and proposals for select relationships.
    • Work creatively and collaboratively to identify high-priority funding initiatives, develop concepts, and secure organizational alignment for these targeted appeals and concepts for potential prospects.
    • Collaborate with Communications to create case statements, reports, and other donor-centric materials that engage donors and prospects around specific program campaigns, events, or general support.
    • Travel domestically for donor meetings and other events/activities in support of fundraising. This role may also include occasional international travel.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Demonstrated experience with moves management fundraising for complex organizations and coordinating fundraising and donor engagement events.
    • Track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts from individual donors and family offices/foundations.
    • Track record of building a portfolio of employee giving partnerships and maintaining and growing these over time.
    • Track record of working with funding intermediaries/connectors to secure new prospects.
    • Strong business writing and editing skills; ability to analyze, synthesize, and clearly present information.
    • Strong public speaking skills; ability to effectively influence and engage with a variety of stakeholders (including country teams, funders, and partners) and to sustain long-term relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with an ability to develop and maintain long-term, productive relationships internally and externally, in addition to cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on diverse teams, both in-person and remotely, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in International Development or other related field.
    • At least eight years of overall relevant professional experience or Master’s Degree plus six years of relevant professional experience
    • At least four years of direct, major gift fundraising experience.
    • Experience working directly with senior leadership and philanthropists.
    • Proven capacity to represent the organization at external events and presentations.
    • Experience working in resource-poor contexts and coordinating across time zones is preferred.
    • Experience in fundraising is required; a background in fundraising for a global development organization preferred.
    • Proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office. Experience with Salesforce and project management and collaboration platforms desired.
