    Description

    The Grants Manager has an important and central role within the Resource Development Team. The Grants Manager is primarily responsible for grant writing, reporting, and communications with corporate and foundation partners that have been long-standing supporters of NHSNYC. In addition, the Grants Manager provides critical project management support to the Resource Development team, tracking and supporting large-scale proposals that are authored by specialist consultants. Finally, the Grants Manager plans and executes the organization’s annual fundraising gala, as well as individual donor programs, giving campaigns, and other special events.

    Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development, the Grants Manager works collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, the Leadership Team, as well as with the Resource Development team’s specialist consultants and staff across the organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • GRANTS MANAGEMENT
      • Author compelling proposals detailing organizational and program needs and activities that align with external funding opportunities.
      • Provide full grant lifecycle management support, from prospecting and researching opportunities for support to completing reports required by funders.
      • Track and monitor all prospective funders, proposals, reporting deadlines, deliverables, portal credentials, and acknowledgements.
      • Execute year-end outreach and reporting to all funders, as well as Q1 outreach and reporting along with a meeting request.
      • Maintain an annual pipeline of funding opportunities and update progress in the team’s development plan.
      • Track and update key information and data in organization’s donor database/CRM system.
    • COORDINATION
      • Collaborate with colleagues to document, reconcile and allocate all funds committed or received, to support the annual financial audit process, to gather data needed for various reports and proposals, and to compile all organizational and financial documents in one place.
      • Provide information and support to fundraising consultants as well as to the Marketing and Communications team to ensure clear and unified messaging.
      • In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development, report to and collaborate with the Resource Development Committee of the organization’s Board of Directors.
    • ANNUAL GALA AND SPECIAL EVENTS
      • In collaboration with the organization’s consultant for the gala, execute all fundraising to support the financial goals of the annual gala and special events, including soliciting sponsorships.
      • In collaboration with the organization’s gala consultant, manage and coordinate all logistics of the annual gala, including booking the date and venue, managing vendors, planning the program, materials, invitations, volunteers, and post-event follow-ups.
      • Support the gala consultant as needed to provide on-site support and coordination with venue and event staff, volunteers, guests, registration, seating, and program

    Manage individual donor giving initiatives, leveraging opportunities such as the annual gala, Homeownership Month, Giving Tuesday, Year-end Giving, and other special events
