    Lemontree is a nonprofit that builds technology to help hungry families navigate food assistance. We run a food helpline that connects people to the free food resources in their communities, and we’re hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service Specialist to join our remote team.

    This is a part-time, fixed-schedule position with weekend shifts and flexibility to fill in on weekdays as needed. It's ideal for someone who is available every Saturday & Sunday, and is looking for meaningful, mission-driven, part-time work.

    What You’ll Do

    You’ll be on the front lines of our text-based helpline, helping people in need find local food resources with empathy and care.

    • Respond to inbound text messages and occasional phone calls
    • Listen without judgment and refer clients to food resources
    • Communicate with warmth, clarity, and cultural humility
    • Collaborate closely with a small, passionate remote team

    What We’re Looking For

    • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken + written)
    • Strong communicator with deep empathy and patience
    • Typing speed of 50+ WPM
    • Computer required, with strong/stable internet and a quiet place to work–you should have your own suitable remote work setup.
    • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or community care is a plus!
    • This job is 100% remote but must be located in Maryland, Texas, New York, or Georgia
    • Must be available during Eastern Time hours
    • Weekend availability every Saturday and Sunday is required

    Schedule

    • Weekly hours range from 16–20 hours
    • Shifts are between 9am–5pm ET or 10am–6pm ET
    • You will work every weekend (Saturday + Sunday)
    • Friday team meetings every other week
    • Specialists Team Meeting every Wednesday (~1hr)
    • Availability to cover Monday–Friday shifts when needed is highly preferred
