    Responsibilities:

    Donor Stewardship

    • Oversee Chashama’s annual gala including fundraising & logistics.
    • Maintain relationships with current and future individual donors and corporate sponsors.
    • Oversee design, strategy, and execution of fundraising appeals.
    • Oversee data collection, research, and the generation of lookbooks.
    • Proficiently navigate salesforce.
    • Proficiently navigate MailChimp & mail merge for e-blasts.

    Special Events

    • Direct all aspects of fundraising and production for the annual Chashama Gala & Art Party:
    • Identify and support the procurement of honorees, co-chairs, benefit committee members, and other stakeholders to maximize fundraising capacity for each event.
    • Build relationships with event leadership, venues, sponsors, and other partners.
    • Oversee the design and execution of corporate sponsor solicitations/pre-sale mailings.
    • Oversee logistics, timelines, and staffing for 7 – 10 small-scale donor cultivation events annually.
    • Serve as signatory on contracts with venues, vendors, and event partners; ensure all agreements are carried out effectively.

    Staff Management & Administration

    • Supervise the Special Events & Cultivation Coordinator.
    • Write job descriptions, hire, and train interns and temporary staff as needed.
    • Collaborate with accounting department on financial reconciliation and audit preparations.

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
    • Direct experience in researching prospective donors and soliciting gifts.
    • Proven experience in organizing and planning fundraising galas or special events.
    • Proficient in managing databases and utilizing Salesforce.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities with exceptional organizational skills.
    • Highly self-disciplined and action-oriented with the ability to manage projects independently.
    • A strong interest in NYC’s cultural landscape and a passion for the arts.

    Time Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours a week

    Annual salary: $75,000 - $85,000
