    Brave New Films (BNF) is a social justice media powerhouse with over 1 million followers and 300,000 engagements per week across platforms. Our documentary films and digital content drive progressive change, mobilize communities, and amplify the voices of activists and organizations fighting for justice. Now, we’re looking for a Social Media Director to take our impact even further.

    We believe that film is a catalyst for action, and we’re looking for a Social Media Director to ensure our documentaries and videos reach the right audiences—sparking conversations, driving engagement, and inspiring real-world impact.

    This role is more than just content creation—it’s about using digital activism to build powerful online movements, forming strategic partnerships, and crafting social media campaigns that drive people to watch, share, and take action. If you’re passionate about social justice, understand digital organizing, and know how to make content go viral for a cause, we want to hear from you.

    What You’ll Do:

    Daily Social Media Management – Find, create, and schedule compelling content across all platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)

    Content Creation – Develop and create engaging social media images, graphics, and short videosthat amplify BNF’s message and drive engagement

    Email Campaigns & Fundraising – Write compelling email blasts for our list (fundraising, calls to action, new film releases)

    Community Engagement & Moderation – Monitor all platforms daily, engage with comments, and flag potential issues

    Outreach & Partnerships – Build relationships with organizations, activists, and influencers to expand BNF’s reach

    Strategic Content Promotion – Find ways to tie BNF’s evergreen films and short videos to current news events for ongoing promotion

    Website Management – Maintain and update the Brave New Films website

    What We’re Looking For:

    🔹 Deep knowledge of social justice issues, political movements, and progressive organizations

    🔹 Proven experience in social media strategy and community engagement

    🔹 Strong writing skills, especially for digital audiences (email, social posts, campaign messaging)

    🔹 Experience in coalition-building and outreach with activist groups and influencers

    🔹 Ability to analyze data and optimize engagement across platforms

    🔹 Comfort working in a fast-paced, issue-driven environment

    Salary & Details:

    💰 $72,000/year plus benefits (negotiable based on experience)

    📍 Remote-friendly
