    Description

    Position Overview

    The Finance Manager at Possibility Labs (PL) plays a critical role in supporting the CFO and the organization’s financial operations. This role will lead finance efforts in cross-departmental projects and system buildouts/integrations, ensuring financial processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with PL’s mission. The Finance Manager will collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights, maintain compliance, and enhance financial infrastructure. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

    Core Responsibilities

    FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & REPORTING (50%)

    • Support the CFO in managing financial operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
    • Assist in financial strategy development, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
    • Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly reports.
    • Work with accounting and compliance partners to ensure financial records are properly maintained.
    • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
    • Support the annual budgeting process, audit,and monitor financial performance across the organization.

    SYSTEM BUILDOUTS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS (30%)

    • Lead financial system buildouts and integrations in collaboration with IT and other internal teams.
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
    • Assist in implementing new financial tools and technologies that enhance financial transparency and reporting.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to align financial systems with broader organizational needs.

    CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION (15%)

    • Partner with Operations, Partnerships, and Partners Services teams to align financial processes with programmatic goals.
    • Provide financial insights to inform decision-making and strategy across departments.
    • Serve as a financial resource for team members, providing guidance on budgeting and financial planning.

    OTHER (5%)

    • Support and participate in PL activities, events, and meetings as appropriate.
    • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    Currently does not supervise other employees.

    Expected hours of work

    PL office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While expected to be available during the regular office hours, daily schedule is flexible and will be decided in consultation with the supervisor and based on the scope of work and organizational needs.
