    Escuela Caracol is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space for

    Position:

    We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who is independent, working under goals, and self-motivated. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission and have a proven track record of fundraising success (this is a must for the position, you need a proven record of it). The Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.

    This includes create consistent fundraising campaigns, coordinating donor communications, planning and managing the fundraising calendar, apply for grants and other funding opportunities, supporting the planning of fundraising events, and supporting the local team with documenting program impact.

    The Fundraiser works closely with the Marketing Manager, the Technical Director and the Executive Director to achieve the financial goals necessary for the annual operation of the school.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies with a plan and calendar to support the organization's objectives.
    • Create and manage fundraising events, campaigns and appeals.
    • Research new grants and follow up with reports on existing grants.
    • Write compelling grant proposals and reports.
    • Track and report on fundraising and budget progress.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and databases.
    • Create and send fundraising reports
    • Manage monthly donor program
    • Manage donor platform
    • Identify, attract and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors and partners.
    • Support with creation of external communication materials.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure fundraising efforts are aligned with organizational priorities.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of fundraising success.
    • Demonstrated interest in the community development or nonprofit sector.
    • Excellent writing skills and the ability to contribute to all forms of development communications (newsletter articles, personal correspondence, fundraising proposals, and reports).
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build
    • relationships with people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
    • Strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills.
    • Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
    • Must work towards goals, be independent and self-motivated.
    • Basic design skills, with knowledge of Canva or similar design software.
    • Knowledge of video, photography and storytelling.
    • Experience with donor management software and Microsoft Office.
