WomenCount and Electing Women Alliance (EWA) work in partnership to close the political giving gender gap by creating vibrant communities of engaged donors—online and in-person—to support Democratic women running for office. Position Description

The Donor Engagement Manager leverages the strengths of WomenCount and EWA’s national network to build strong relationships, create compelling opportunities to support women candidates, and overall, to advance our shared fundraising goals. Working in close partnership with the National Engagement Director, the Chief of Staff, and the Executive Director you will develop resources that inspire action, create momentum, and build capacity. This position works to equip giving groups with the tools, systems, and resources they need to mobilize their members, grow their networks, and maximize their fundraising impact. Responsibilities

Development Support (35%)

• Work with Executive Director to identify and steward national donors to support our operational growth, with particular attention to a major gifts program.
• Leverage strong connections with EWA group members and donors to mobilize them around the organization’s overall impact goals.
• Create tailored donor stewardship plans, ensuring a strategy for outreach such as personalized communication, exclusive engagement opportunities, and recognition for contributions.
• Facilitate introductions and connections between donors and key stakeholders to strengthen donor commitment and involvement.
• Support the Executive Director with Development tasks such as materials creation, donor acknowledgement letters, scheduling, pledge fulfillment, and correspondence as needed.

Groups Mobilization and Program Support (30%)

• Partner with the National Engagement Director in developing a scalable approach to groups management in order to clarify expectations, sustain strong group performance, and provide regular coaching and actionable feedback to catalyze improved performance.
• Drive implementation of this revised approach and maintain groups program dashboard that tracks progress toward their respective goals.
• Conduct ongoing research on best practices in affiliate group mobilization and engagement in order to bring a data informed perspective to the revised groups management strategy.
• Ongoing monitoring and analysis of cross-group needs, opportunities and trends in order to suggest programmatic interventions to ensure groups’ teams are informed, equipped, and energized to meet their goals.
• Coordinate scheduling and correspondence for EWA National events/calls along with recurring individual group coaching check ins.
• Triage all correspondence to and from EWA groups, creating a system for tracking inquiries, needed support, and follow up resulting from group calls and events.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the Down Ballot program team to ensure smooth integration of Down Ballot programming into existing groups’ goals and workflows.
• Inspire and activate giving group leaders to galvanize their members around fundraising, candidate support, and community-building efforts.

Tools and Resource Development (25%)

• Create, refine, and maintain a robust suite of resources—including toolkits, templates, guides, and best practices—that empower giving groups to operate efficiently, grow membership, and expand their impact.
• Build flexible frameworks that enable groups to adapt resources to their unique local contexts while maintaining alignment with national goals.
• Develop innovative strategies to simplify group management and reduce barriers to action, enabling groups to focus on their core work of fundraising and advocacy.

Collaboration and Feedback Integration (10%)

• Work closely with internal team members to provide groups with updated materials, messaging, and research that align with organizational priorities.
• Gather feedback from giving group leaders to continuously improve resources and ensure that support meets their evolving needs.
• Foster connections and communication among groups to build a cohesive, motivated, and impactful network.

• 3-5 years of experience in political fundraising or organizing, community building, relationship management, project management, or similar
• Capacity to think strategically, work nimbly, and creatively leverage opportunities
• Strong interpersonal communication and relational management skills
• Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to think proactively, take initiative, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to create clear processes and systems and apply a strong attention to detail throughout your work
• A demonstrated track record of commitment to women’s leadership and empowerment
• Commitment to working collaboratively within an inclusive and collegial team dedicated to joyfully making a significant impact on the landscape of women’s political leadership

Job Location and Travel

This is a full-time remote position. Our team is mostly remote and distributed across the United States. Staff located near our Palo Alto office can choose to work in-person or on a hybrid basis.

This role includes some expected travel. Candidates must be willing to travel for annual convenings, Democratic party conventions, in-person team gatherings, and for in-person giving group support.
