    Description

    We are seeking a skilled Switchboard Operator Grievance Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming calls from union members, maintaining union Grievance Department files, and providing excellent customer service. Familiarity with Salesforce a plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate a multi-line telephone system to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information and taking messages
    • Greet callers warmly and professionally
    • Utilize computer systems for data entry and call logging
    • Assist with dispatching calls to appropriate personnel
    • Maintain a tidy and organized work area
    • Handle clerical tasks as needed
    • File grievance reports
    • Communicate with School District regarding grievance status
    • Maintaining updates to status of Grievance files

    Requirements

    • Proficient in phone systems and office equipment
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with callers effectively
    • Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service best practices
    • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
    • Proficient in information management programs and MS Office
    • Proficient in Google Suite
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Previous experience in administrative or clerical role
