    Description

    Crushers Club is hiring an on-site Trauma Specialist to join our team as a W-2 employee (M-F, 2-7pm). Crusher Club is a youth violence prevention nonprofit located in the Englewood community on the South Side of Chicago. Our mission is to be the strongest alternative to gangs by providing boys and young men the support and tools needed to restore their lives and rebuild their neighborhood. Through one-on-one and small/large group interactions, the Trauma Specialist will help our young men process their day-to-day struggles and the trauma they experience on a weekly basis due to exposure to violence in an underinvested community. The position requires relevant experience/expertise in the area of trauma-informed services and the ability to maintain detailed documentation to be utilized for grant reporting. Preference for experience working in underserved communities and with youth – ideally justice-involved youth. Compensation is up to $50 per hour.
