About the Organization:
New American Leaders (NAL) and New American Leaders Action Fund (NALAF) are working in tandem to build an inclusive democracy by preparing first and second-generation immigrants and refugees to run for office, win their campaigns, and lead in elected office. We are the only organizations preparing New Americans to enter the political process and govern with accountability and authenticity. As a result, more New Americans will run for office, engage their communities, turn out new voters, and ultimately serve as values-aligned leaders in office who can advance just and equitable policies.
Position Description:
The Deputy Director of Leadership Programs will play a pivotal role in advancing New American Leaders' mission to recruit and train first and second-generation Americans from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to run for public office, seek government appointments, and work on political campaigns, with a specific focus on women. This role supports the National Director of Leadership Programs and the broader Leadership Programs team with project management, accountability, and organizational efficiency. The Deputy Director will also lead specific initiatives, including a portfolio of leadership programs, national alumni engagement, and pre-candidate coaching programs, to be determined based on the strengths and interests of the hire.
While this position does not initially include direct management responsibilities, it may evolve to supervise staff or consultants as organizational needs grow. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong collaborator, and deeply committed to advancing an inclusive democracy.

NAL/AF offers a competitive salary, benefits, and leave policies.
