    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a creative storyteller and analytics-informed strategist who is passionate about challenging injustices in the criminal justice system and amplifying the voices of those most impacted by it. This role requires a strong understanding of digital content management, social media strategy, audience engagement, and graphic design across various mediums. As a key member of The Bail Project’s Creative and Marketing Team, you will play an integral role in humanizing the cash bail crisis and making a compelling public argument for reform. This position may require occasional travel for team retreats and multimedia project needs, as well as evening and weekend availability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Storytelling, Content Creation, and On-Camera Presence
      • Develop and manage content calendars for social media and blog, ensuring a consistent and engaging digital presence.
      • Create compelling content that reflects The Bail Project’s voice, including written narratives, graphics, and photography.
      • Act as an on-camera representative for the organization, comfortable engaging followers directly in videos and embracing trends that align with our mission.
      • Track and adapt the latest social media trends to align with our mission, keeping our content fresh and relevant.
      • Work closely with the Director of Creative and Marketing to refine social media and blog strategies and ensure cohesive design across platforms.
    • Graphic Design Across Mediums
      • Design graphics that reinforce our mission and message across diverse formats, including digital ads, social media, billboards, printed reports, merchandise, and web assets.
      • Maintain brand consistency across all design materials, adjusting for each platform’s unique needs and audience.
      • Create and manage high-quality visual content that communicates effectively, from large-scale billboards to detailed, printed reports.
    • Social Media Marketing, Ad Management, and AI Tools
      • Oversee all aspects of social media platforms, including content creation, community engagement, moderation, and analytics.
      • Set up, monitor, and optimize social media ad campaigns across platforms, leveraging custom audiences and engagement strategies to maximize impact.
      • Build and manage relationships with influencers who align with our values, coordinating influencer engagement to amplify our message.
      • Use AI tools and writing prompts to enhance creativity and efficiency in content creation, ensuring these tools support rather than replace human storytelling and engagement.
    • Project Management
      • Coordinate projects through Adobe Workfront and other tools like Monday.com to ensure timely and efficient completion.
      • Manage workflows, including personal content creation, external photography sourcing, and cross-functional blog post editing, delegate tasks, and set deadlines to keep content production on track.
      • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of digital engagement initiatives and campaigns.
    • Blog and Content Development
      • Collaborate closely with the Web Marketer on blog strategy, calendar, and content development, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
      • Partner with the Media Production Specialist to support creative video content that aligns with our social media and digital strategies.
      • Lead brainstorming sessions and coordinate with team members to develop impactful blog and video content.
    • Data-Driven Strategy
      • Track social media and content performance metrics, using insights to refine strategy and improve audience engagement.
      • Share monthly analytics reports and refine objectives based on key findings and industry best practices.

    Qualifications:

    You are driven, highly organized, and have a deep commitment to The Bail Project’s mission to eliminate race- and wealth-based disparities in our criminal justice system. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently or in a team-based setting. Being adaptable to change is essential. To work in this organization, you will be required to work with people who have been directly impacted by the carceral system, including folks who have prior records.

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in digital engagement, social media management, or a related role (required).
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Demonstrable experience in graphic design across mediums, from digital ads to billboards and print reports, with an online portfolio.
    • Proficiency in social media ad setup, including custom audiences, targeting strategies, and ad analytics.
    • Experience managing influencer relationships and tracking social media trends.
    • Familiarity with AI tools and writing prompts to enhance creativity, not replace it.
    • Comfortable with an on-camera presence and staying current with evolving social media trends.
    • Ability to analyze social media data and translate insights into strategy.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally for team retreats and multimedia projects.

    Software Proficiency:

    • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) (required)
    • Google Suite (required)
    • Sprout Social or equivalent social media management platform (required)
    • WordPress (required)
    • Project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Adobe Workfront) (preferred)
    • Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Adobe Experience Cloud (preferred)
