    House Majority PAC is an organization designed to hold Republicans accountable and help elect more House Democrats. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.

    The Deputy Research Director will work closely with House Majority PAC’s Research Director in designing and executing HMP’s opposition research program. As an integral part of HMP’s paid media programming, the Deputy RD will assist in training and managing the Regional Research Desks and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the message component of the organization’s independent expenditure campaign.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Edit and assist in completion of opposition and self-research memos as needed
      • Assist the Research Director with management of the regional research desks and oversight of daily research team process and program execution
      • Create and edit side-by-side and backup documentation for House Majority PAC paid communications, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness
      • Work with paid media and polling consultants to deliver the most effective communications
      • Review House Majority PAC communications in districts, including television, digital, and mail advertising
      • Serve in a senior leadership role for the Independent Expenditure, as top advisor to the Research Director, and second in command of the research team

    Qualifications:

      • Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes
      • BA/BS degree
      • Minimum two cycles of experience in the opposition research field
      • Strong grasp of modern opposition research methodology and practices
      • Experience with independent expenditure and paid media ad backup
      • Experience working in the U.S. House of Representatives or on House campaigns highly preferred
      • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities; ability to work independently and proactively
      • Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible and adaptable as needs and priorities change; experience managing to multiple deadlines
      • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
      • Solid verbal, written, research, and interpersonal skills
      • Sense of humor, ability to have fun, and an interest in working within a high-performing team environment
      • Some management experience preferred

    LOCATION: Washington, DC

    START DATE: May 2025

    TRAVEL: Little to no travel will be required

    SALARY: Starting at $90,000 annualized, commensurate with experience

    This is a temporary [cycle-based], at will position with an anticipated end date of no later than December 15, 2026
