About Us: The Green Party of the United States is a grassroots political organization dedicated to ecological sustainability, social justice, grassroots democracy, and non-violence. We seek a motivated and results-driven Fundraiser to support our mission and help drive critical fundraising efforts over a 60-day interim period.
Position Overview: The Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies to secure financial contributions for the Green Party's initiatives. This position is commission-based, offering a unique opportunity for unlimited earning potential while supporting a vital movement for change.
Compensation Structure:
$20/hour, plus commission
The Fundraiser will earn commissions based on funds raised as a direct result of their efforts:
- 10% on funds raised up to $10,000 in income.
- 15% on funds raised between $10,001 and $25,000.
- 20% on funds raised over $25,001 (unlimited earning potential).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative and effective fundraising campaigns.
- Coordinate with the GPUS Fundraising Committee for fundraiser direction and approvals.
- Identify and engage potential donors, including one on one appeals to previous large donors.
- Foster relationships with new and existing supporters to secure contributions.
- Utilize digital tools, phone/text outreach, and written communications to solicit donations.
- Track fundraising progress, providing regular updates on goals and milestones achieved.
- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure prompt acknowledgment of contributions.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the NationBuilder fundraising software.
- Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or a similar results-oriented role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Familiarity with political fundraising or nonprofit campaigns is a plus.
- Passion for the Green Party's values and mission.
Term of Position: This is a 60-day interim position, with the potential for future opportunities based on performance and organizational needs.
$20/hour base salary, plus commission. 20-25 hours a week.
