    SUMMARY

    Under direct supervision of the Program Director(s) and Clinical Consultant/Clinical Supervisor, the Mental Health Therapist provides counseling and therapeutic services for Program participants, which may include clinical assessments, mental health plans of care, and group or individual therapy or counseling. This role will begin with a Maternal Wellness program and experience in maternal wellness psychosocial services will be beneficial.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      1. Conduct screenings and assessments for Program participants.
      2. Provide individual and/or group therapy and psychoeducation to Program participants within Program’s focus area which may include maternal wellness, family dynamics, resiliency, older adults, and/or youth.
      3. Conduct clinical review of participant records and care plans and consult with Program participants, medical and mental health resources, and Program staff as appropriate, regarding preferences, treatment options, and plans of care, and recommendations. Co-sign documents, as appropriate.
      4. Monitor Program participants for changes in severity of symptoms, either via tele-health or in person.
      5. Facilitate additional treatment or emergency referrals, as needed.
      6. Maintain timely and accurate records of all interactions, assessments, interventions, plans of care, and safety plans for Program participants.
      7. Participate in and/or facilitate multi-disciplinary team meetings regarding Participant needs and/or recommendations.
      8. Maintain collaborative relationships with networks of care and community partners.
      9. Participate in and complete meetings and trainings, as required by Program.
      10. Contribute to the development of clinical training practices and programs.
      11. Participate in providing clinical training and consultation for Program interns.
      12. Participate in trainings and conferences as appropriate to job duties or required by funding source(s).
      13. Maintain an understanding of applicable community resources appropriate to the Program’s participants.
      14. Maintain Program participant confidentiality within required HIPAA guidelines and laws.
      15. Meet all Mandated Reporting Requirements, as needed, and maintain awareness of all legal requirements.
      16. Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

      • Master’s or doctorate degree in a social service-related or medical field required and with five years’ experience providing direct therapy.
      • Clinical license or certification such as an LCSW, LMFT is required.
      • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
      • Strong communication and organizational skills
      • Intermediate technical knowledge with current/prior versions of Microsoft and Apple operating systems, Office applications, Outlook/Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Bi-lingual is preferred with good communication and writing skills.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations, such as would be required to establish totals for timecards, supplies requests, etc.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to use good judgement, to conduct professional and collaborative activities and solve practical problems within established limits and guidelines. Ability to recognize instances in which consultation with Human Resources, Clinical Consultant/Clinical Supervisor, Director(s), Senior Director, CEO/ED and/or Board should be sought before a decision is made.
