    Job Title: Development Manager

    Organization: Vietnamese American Community Center of the East Bay (VACCEB)

    Location: San Leandro, CA

    Position Type: Full-Time.

    Salary Range: ~$75K-$80K/annually

    About VACCEB:

    The Vietnamese American Community Center of the East Bay (VACCEB) has served as a refuge and resource for low-income, refugee, and immigrant communities in the Bay Area for over 25 years. We offer services including ESL, computer, and citizenship classes, grocery distributions, employment and legal services, senior activities, and anti-hate crime resources. Our mission is to support the needs of refugee and immigrant communities through educational, cultural, and social services.

    We are looking for a development Manager to lead fundraising efforts and strengthen relationships with key partners, including local officials and community organizations. The role focuses primarily on securing funding through grants, fundraising events, and strategic partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, grantmakers, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
    • Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including galas, community events, and donor appreciation activities.
    • Represent VACCEB at networking events, community meetings, and with government officials to build partnerships and funding opportunities.
    • Work with program and finance teams to align funding needs with organizational goals.
    • Prepare and submit grant proposals, reports, and funding documentation.
    • Monitor fundraising trends and adjust strategies to maximize results.
    • Maintain donor and stakeholder databases to track communications and relationships.
    • Support leadership with strategic planning and resource development.
    • Oversee and manage funded contracts as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or nonprofit management.
    • Proven success in securing grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
    • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders, including government officials and community organizations.
    • Experience managing funded contracts (contract administration).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience planning and executing fundraising events.
