Greater Baybrook Alliance (GBA) is a community development organization whose mission is to act as a catalyst and conduit for equitable development and reinvestment in the Brooklyn, Brooklyn Park, and Curtis Bay neighborhoods and empower our residents to strengthen the Baybrook community. Since 2020, GBA has facilitated a community-led neighborhood safety strategy called the Baybrook Violence Reduction Plan (BVRP).
The BVRP currently engages over 60 community residents and stakeholders to implement various projects, activities, and initiatives to prevent and reduce crime in our neighborhoods. The right candidate will have a proven track record of building trust and working with communities to implement collaborative solutions to complex challenges.
Purpose:
The Neighborhood Safety Program Manager will work with community members to support and expand the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design component of the BVRP. The Program Manager will work with existing and recruit new community leaders to coordinate and implement projects and programs that activate space within our Violence Reduction Priority Areas (VRPA’s).
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design: a multidisciplinary approach that uses changes to the built and natural environments to reduce and prevent crime opportunities. Key elements include natural surveillance, access control, creating ownership of space, maintenance, and activity support.
VRPA’s: areas in the community identified through qualitative and quantitative data as experiencing a disproportionate amount of firearm violence in the neighborhood.

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
This is a full-time position, with typical hours of 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday. GBA operates on a hybrid work schedule, typically requiring 2-3 days of work to be completed at our office in Brooklyn, MD. Additionally, frequent site visits to clients' businesses or partner offices should be expected, usually in South Baltimore/ North Anne Arundel County or the Greater Baltimore region.
COMPENSATION
Salary and benefits are reflective of the candidate's qualifications and experience, with a range of $52,000 - $60,000. Benefits include 20 days of Paid Time Off, medical and dental insurance, and retirement plan.
