    Description

    ORCID is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support ORCID's operations in the caretaking of our core financial processes, books, and records. This includes processing invoices, managing our expense reporting and credit card procedures, and assisting with the maintenance of our financial records and finance software, Quickbooks Online (“QBO”).

    Responsibilities

    • Supporting the finance department by handling administrative tasks, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with monthly and annual reporting and compliance, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.
    • Record Keeping & Data Entry: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, entering data into accounting software, and updating supporting spreadsheets.
    • Payment Processing: Processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and accounting for transactions, and processing payroll and similar payments
    • Financial Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including statement of activities and statement of financial position
    • Account Reconciliation: Reconciling accounts and bank statements, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies
    • Compliance: Assisting with compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Communication: Communicating with vendors and providing excellent customer service.
    • Audits: Assisting with audits, supplying information to auditors as needed

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Bookkeeping and Accounting Principles: Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiarity with accounting software (QBO)
    • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in financial work.
    • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, members, and vendors.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
    • Fluency in English required. Additional languages are a plus.
    • Ability to travel based upon business needs (less than 10%)

    Preferred Skills

    • Salesforce and Expensify experience preferred
    • Ability to work asynchronously and remotely in a highly productive manner
    • International payroll management and experience with “Employers of Record”
