    Young Audiences Arts for Learning New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania’s (YA) mission is to inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts.

    Since its founding in 1973, YA has grown into the region’s most comprehensive arts education organization. Our venue is the school. YA delivers teaching artist-led arts programming directly in PK-12th grade schools through residencies, workshops, performances, and teacher professional learning. YA is committed to providing all children—inclusive of disabilities, neurodiversity, gender diversity, language, economic status, race, and ethnicity—with arts education in which their creativity, cultures, and identities are valued and nurtured. In a typical year, YA reaches approximately 400,000 students in our region, and has a $3M operating budget. YA is comprised of 14 professional staff and is governed and supported by a thriving board of trustees. YA collaborates with teaching artists in all artistic disciplines, sharing diverse cultural art forms and dynamic, authentic arts experiences.

    Job Posting: Part-Time Site Manager

    About the Position

    Young Audiences is seeking one dynamic and creative educator to join the Olivia & Leslie Foundation’s afterschool program in Hinesburg, VT. As program site manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with our school partner, and arts educators, facilitate parent/guardian/caregiver communication, provide support and mentorship to part-time arts educators, and inspire and educate young minds through engaging art activities.

    • Location: In-person @ Hinesburg Public Schools, Hinesburg Community School
    • Schedule: After School
      • Planning Meeting: TBD
      • Sessions: TBD (3:00-4:15)
      • Culminating Event (at Shelburne Museum): TBD
      • March 2025-June 2025 (dates TBD)
    • Professional learning: March 2025 (dates TBD)

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in curriculum professional learning activities
    • Provide residency communication, documentation & materials management
    • Coordinate and participate in up to 3 planning & debrief meetings
    • Provide site management during 12 workshop days
    • Provide consultation for culminating event design, installation, launch, and removal. Including: concept, curation, labeling of artwork, and photo documentation
    • Inventory, purchase and manage materials and snacks
    • Create a supportive and inspiring environment for arts educators and young artists
    • Collaborate with arts education facilitators and program coordinators
    • Participate in regular team meetings

    Qualifications

    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Passionate about art education and working with children
    • Experience in facilitating programs for early childhood (ages 5 and up)
    • Strong communication and classroom management skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Reliable transportation to Hinesburg Public Schools
    • Background check clearance (required for working with children)

    • Fun, engaging, and student centered teaching style
    • Creativity and adaptability in lesson delivery

    Compensation:

    • $50.00/per hour
    1. 67/per mile travel reimbursement for site management related travel.
