The Art Education Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the Family Art Project (FAP), a year-round weekend program that uses a drop-in format to immerse families in the experience of Wave Hill’s gardens, grounds and art exhibitions, using hands-on, nature-based art activities that encourage creativity and imagination. This program runs year-round, with a drop-in format each weekend.
The Coordinator supervises staff, guest artists and volunteers, and manages the Arts, Community and Environmental Stewards (ACES) program, a year-round paid internship program for young people. The Coordinator leads recruitment, training and mentorship for the program with support from Education staff. In addition, the Coordinator works closely with the Senior Education Programs Manager to provide creative, pedagogical input and assistance on a variety of interdepartmental programs as needed.

Schedule & Salary
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Education Programs Manager. Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday and occasional evenings required. Salary is $42,000, plus benefits including: medical, dental, vision insurance; paid time off; 401k, pension plan and life insurance.
