    Job Summary:

    The Publicist/PR Manager to the President is a dynamic role responsible for elevating the President's profile outside of Brady in order to build her brand across social media, business, advocacy, and business constituencies, managing her communications, visibility, and influence. The role also requires strong marketing and communication skills with a focus on elevating and growing the President’s profile while the President promotes the organization’s mission. This position requires demonstrated experience handling confidential information and involves supporting the President in high-level activities, including building her profile, communications with critical stakeholders,and event preparation, all while maintaining a focus on detail, timeliness, and professional communication.

    The Manager will oversee the President’s social media presence across platforms, creating engaging content, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for impactful engagement. Additionally, they will provide hands-on support for a wide range of events, ensuring seamless execution and capturing key moments for communications purposes. This position requires a proactive, collaborative professional who excels in strategic thinking, messaging consistency, and adaptability.

    This role is dedicated to supporting the President residing in the Office of the President and will report directly to the Senior Manager of Strategic Projects. This role requires close collaboration with the COO, the President’s Senior Executive Assistant, the VP of Communications, and the Development team to ensure streamlined follow-up and consistency across all platforms.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    PR, Communications, and Content Development:

    • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Strategic Projects and the COO to develop and execute a comprehensive plan to elevate the President's profile. This plan includes actively expanding her social media presence, securing speaking engagements, conferences, and media appearances, and building connections with leaders in business, law, and policy. Work closely across departments to implement the plan and continuously monitor and adjust it as needed for maximum impact.
    • Draft, edit, and proofread speeches, press releases, articles, and other content for the President to ensure the content reflects the President’s voice.
    • Support the development of PR and communications strategies that promote the President’s initiatives and organizational priorities.
    • Gather insights and analytics on PR and communications efforts, recommending adjustments to optimize results.
    • Collaborate with the Vice President of Communications to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and materials.

    Social Media Management:

    • Develop and execute a strategic social media plan to elevate the President's personal and professional brand, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Create and curate engaging, high-quality content, including posts, photos, videos, and stories, that highlight the President’s work, values, and leadership and hone her voice.
    • Manage the President’s social media accounts, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing posts across platforms (e.g. X, Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn).
    • Film and edit content of the President during events, meetings, and behind-the-scenes moments to provide authentic and dynamic insights into her work.
    • Stay informed of social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to maximize reach and engagement.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure cohesive messaging across organizational and personal platforms.
    • Analyze performance metrics and provide regular reports on social media impact, using insights to optimize future strategies.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for the President to participate in trending conversations and social media campaigns to increase visibility.

    Event Staffing:

    • Provide comprehensive support for the President’s participation in a variety of events, including speaking engagements, donor meetings, Hill meetings, press events, etc.
    • Collaborate with event organizers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to confirm schedules, venues, and logistics.
    • Prepare and manage materials required for each event, such as briefing documents, talking points, presentation slides, and leave-behind collateral.
    • Facilitate introductions and interactions with key stakeholders, including donors, political figures, and media representatives.
    • Capture event highlights for social media, press materials, or archival purposes, ensuring moments are documented effectively.
    • Troubleshoot issues in real time, maintaining a professional and adaptable approach to ensure the President’s focus remains on her message.
    • Conduct post-event debriefs to evaluate outcomes, gather feedback, and refine strategies for future events.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Sales, Development or a related field.
    • 3-5+ years of experience in Communications, PR, and/or Marketing.
    • Experience in brand marketing in the public or private sector is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, concise approach and a keen eye for detail
    • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability in diverse environments with an ability to interact effectively with high-level executives.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
    • Ability to travel frequently and adapt to a flexible schedule.
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines per the President’s schedule.
    • Familiarity with communications platforms (email, social media, etc.)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
    • Experience working on the Hill preferred.
    • Proactive, able to “manage up” and anticipate the President’s needs in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a track record of process improvement.
    • Team-oriented but able to work independently as needed.
    • Sense of humor.
    • In-office presence is required three days per week to support the President effectively.
    • Frequent travel (up to 30%) is expected.

    The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $84,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on experience.
