TO START IMMEDIATELY - East Boston Community Council (EBCC) is seeking a part-time ESOL Teacher to provide high beginning level instruction to adult English language learners in the morning and basic level I in the evening. This position will consist of teaching 6 hours a week plus 4 hours of prep time during morning and evening classes: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 AM – 2 PM.In the Evening from 4 PM to 6:00 PM.
Other duties include assisting with outreach to recruit adult learners; conducting intake and placement activities; support Adult Education Coordinator as needed.
Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Fluency in Spanish preferred. One year of experience teaching adult learners at the high beginning level. Experience in Best Plus is desirable. Familiarity with a range of instructional materials.
