    Description

    Sinai House is seeking dedicated and compassionate tutors to support students through our Resident Tutor Program. This role involves on-site tutoring, providing homework assistance, and facilitating group and individual tutoring sessions in alignment with our Saturday Academy and evening academic support programs. The candidate must reside in the Washington, DC area:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide individual and small-group tutoring to students in core academic subjects.
    • Offer homework help during evening sessions.
    • Participate in Saturday Academy sessions as needed.
    • Adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
    • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
    • Collaborate with program coordinators to track student progress and adjust support strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students. BA in Education strongly preferred but not required.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of core academic subjects.
    • Ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Passion for education and student success.
