    Role Description

    • Working with the Board of Directors to set the organization’s direction, priorities, and key policies and providing timely and accurate information about Freedom Insight’s outcomes.
    • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Freedom Insight’s work and impact in the United States and beyond in a way that is congruent with our mission and reputation.
    • Developing and implementing a strategic plan that is in alignment with our organization's mission and goals, in conjunction with constituents, staff, and the board.
    • Serving as an advocate and spokesperson for the organization, promoting awareness and engagement on the issue of human trafficking and Freedom Insight’s unique solutions; motivation to establish oneself as a thought leader in the human trafficking space.
    • Recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing, mission-driven team and fostering an organizational culture that is consistent with Freedom Insight’s mission and values.
    • Ensuring the highest-quality execution of our programs through the use of metrics that measure effectiveness and outcomes.
    • Building strategic and fruitful partnerships with government agencies, law enforcement, community organizations, and other key stakeholders
    • Building up the next level of comprehensive fundraising efforts by cultivating fruitful relationships with new major donors, foundations, faith communities, grant-making organizations, and corporations.

    Qualifications

    • Passion for pursuing justice for marginalized populations and experience working on issues related to human trafficking, social justice, trauma- informed/survivor-centered practices or related fields.
    • Staying abreast of local and national current events, trends and laws related to trafficking to stay on the forefront of the movement
    • Personal resilience, grit, and adaptability to lead a challenging mission in a small nonprofit context.
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a diversity of constituencies with varied interests.
    • A demonstrated ability to inspire and lead dispersed staff members and teams.
    • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
    • Financial acumen and experience with nonprofit financial management and reporting.
    • Demonstrated success in fundraising (for example, major gifts, grants, or corporate partnerships).
    • Motivation to partner with faith communities in an organization founded by members of Bay Area congregations
    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, social work, public policy, or a related field preferred.
