    Description

    The Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of various programs ranging from coordination with partners and DC Dream Center core Discipleship programming. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, families and their children and community partners to ensure that programs are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget and meeting the needs of attendees. The Programs Coordinator will assist in tracking program outcomes, managing logistics, and ensuring that program goals align with the overall mission and objectives of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Planning & Development

    • Assist in the design and development of new programs or initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
    • Collaborate with internal teams to define program deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
    • Help in researching best practices, evaluating existing programs, and recommending improvements

    Program Execution

    • Help coordinate day-to-day operations of programs, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with team members, families and children, and partners
    • Support in monitoring program implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, locations, and quality standards
    • Provide support to Program Director in the delivery of programs

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • In coordination with Program Director work with stakeholders and program partners
    • Organize meetings, workshops, and other events related to the programs
    • Ensure effective communication between internal and external stakeholders

    Administrative Support

    • Maintain detailed program documentation, including reports, evaluations, progress tracking, grades of mentees, outings with mentor, and progression through Discipleship program
    • Assist in maintaining program databases and tracking systems to monitor participant progress and outcomes
    • Assist in tracking program budgets, ensuring spending stays within approved limits
    • Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, or services needed for program activities

    Evaluation & Reporting

    • In coordination with Program Director prepare regular status reports, progress updates, and evaluation summaries for management and diverse stakeholders
    • Provide recommendations for improvements based on feedback and performance metrics

    Other Duties

    • Support the recruitment, training, and coordination of program staff or volunteers
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming or problem-solving activities
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that could enhance program outcomes

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, Education or equivalent experience

    Experience

    • 1-3 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or related roles

    Experience in Nonprofit, Mentoring, Community-Based Programs preferred

    • Familiarity with budget management, event planning, and program evaluation is a plus

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to work independently and cooperatively; actively engaging with team members, families, and partners
    • Proficient in Google Suite (Google Doc, Sheets, Slides), program management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Salesforce) and database management (e.g. Bloomerang)
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Working Conditions

    • Position is in-office with flexible work hours
    • Travel will be required (e.g. picking up families/children for programs, meetings, outings etc.)
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
