    Job Description:

    The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting and advancing diversity and inclusion efforts within the engineering and technology community and the Society of Women Engineers. This position involves collaborating across departments, coordinating programs, and facilitating initiatives to contribute to SWE's DEI&B goals.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Program Support and Coordination (50%)

    • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to support DEI&B related efforts at SWE.
    • Assist in the coordination and publication of the Annual DEI&B Report.
    • Engage with members, staff, leaders, and external partners to support DEI&B initiatives at SWE, ensuring representation and resonance across various audiences.
    • Design and develop content and programs for various delivery platforms, including but not limited to instructor-led web sessions, workshops, micro-learning, and eLearning courses to support SWE’s strategic goals, specifically those related to DEI&B outcomes.
    • Support SWE’s various Affinity Groups (AG) as the main point of contact to ensure their critical DEI&B work is promoted and supported throughout the organization online and via various events.

    Communication (25%)

    • Collaborate with the Member Communications team on email system tasks related to Pardot, including building new distribution lists, creating dynamic lists, and managing individual contact updates.
    • Work closely with the Member Communications team to ensure smooth execution of email and list management tasks, supporting the overall email strategy.
    • Create emails for review and ensure organizational trackers and calendars are updated to reflect email activity.
    • Manage and create bi-weekly content for DEI&B newsletter publication.

    Data Analysis and Feedback (20%)

    • Work with the Senior Manager to conduct focus groups with key subsets of SWE’s membership and identify opportunities for ongoing feedback.
    • Assist in conducting a DEI&B gap analysis to inform strategic planning around member-facing programs; support initiatives to address gaps and monitor progress.
    • Support the maintenance of external-facing DEI&B resource pages.
    • Provide technical support and contribute to the oversight of systems, processes, and platforms used for managing events and conferences.

    Additional Responsibilities (5%)

    • Undertake other duties as assigned and take the initiative to further the DEI&B goals of the organization and the organization’s overall success.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Qualifications and Characteristics:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, but candidates with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
    • 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an association or program coordination role.
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
    • Solution-oriented mindset, resourcefulness, and proactive approach to tasks.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Customer service orientation with the ability to engage with staff, members, and external partners.
    • DEI&B certification and/or training is a plus.

    Technology Requirements:

    • Technically savvy and open to learning new technologies.
    • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to integrate information from various applications.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Travel & Schedule:

    This position works 40 hours a week. Occasional travel will be required.
