The Institute for Liberatory Innovation (ILI) is at an exciting crossroads in our evolution, and we’re expanding our team. We’re seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Deputy Director to work closely with our Founding Director, ensuring smooth operations and driving strategic growth.
About the Role:
- Fully remote – work from anywhere with reliable internet and availability during U.S. East Coast business hours.
- Key leadership position – shape ILI’s next chapter alongside our Director.
- Strategic and operational focus – play a critical role in advancing our mission and impact.
Who We're Looking For:
- A proactive, organized leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Someone with strong operational and strategic skills, deeply aligned with our mission, values and approach, and ready to support and strengthen our initiatives.
- This is a one-year position, renewable based on performance and successful organizational achievement of strategic priorities that ensure continued funding.
- A U.S.-based candidate (due to budget constraints, we are unable to support employment for non-U.S. citizens).

- Very flexible time off and working schedule.
- Health Insurance reimbursement: We will reimburse employees for 80% of an individual health insurance premium, up to a max of $4,800 per year and, if needed, 50% of the additional cost for family coverage, up to a total maximum of $10,440.
- Up to $1,000 per year to reimburse professional development expenses.
- $50 per month to reimburse employees for home-office -related expenses
