Development Director
The Development Director will play a critical role in securing and growing funding sources to support CASPR’s mission. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing CASPRs fundraising program, fostering donor relationships, and identifying new opportunities to support the organization’s expansion and long-term sustainability.
What you’ll do:
- Design and execute a development plan to increase revenue through grants, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, program officers, and government funders, managing a portfolio of current and prospective funders.
- Research grant opportunities and write compelling proposals. Manage the grant reporting process to ensure compliance and demonstrate impact.
- Lead the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, major gifts, and capital campaigns, ensuring alignment with CASPR’s mission and goals.
- Manage the donor database, track key metrics, and provide insights into fundraising performance.
- Partner with the executive team and program staff to align development strategies with CASPR’s strategic goals.
- Coordinate with external organizational partners and coalitions.
What you’ll need:
- Ability to move and adapt quickly in small, rapidly growing organization.
- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a similar role.
- Proven track record in successful grant writing, donor relations, and major gift acquisition.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with experience in campaign development and donor segmentation.
- Proficiency in donor management software and modern tools to support efficient, rapid workflows.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Strong personal commitment to CASPR’s mission.
- Ideally, experience with medical or public health related funding processes.
