    Location: Remote (Must be located in New York for meetings)

    Hours: Part-time consultant up to 30 hours/week (with possibility to turn to full-time)

    Position Summary:

    FAN4Kids is seeking an experienced and dynamic Development Director to lead our fundraising efforts and manage key relationships with donors, board members, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess at least 4-5 years of experience in development or non-profit sectors and have an entrepreneurial spirit. This role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth through local government, grants, corporate giving, special events, individual giving, digital fundraising, and stewardship initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Board and Junior Board Management:

    • Support the Executive Director in the recruitment, training, and engagement of board members and junior board.
    • Facilitate regular board meetings, providing updates on fundraising activities and initiatives.
    • Foster relationships with board members to leverage their networks for fundraising opportunities.

    Grants and Corporate Giving:

    • Identify, research, and apply for relevant grants from foundations and government sources.
    • Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate sponsors and partners.
    • Develop a cohesive corporate giving strategy that aligns with FAN4Kids’ mission.

    Special Events:

    • Plan and execute fundraising events, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic goals.
    • Manage event logistics, sponsorships, promotional efforts, and follow-up to maximize both participation and funds raised.

    Digital Marketing and Donations:

    • Lead digital marketing initiatives to promote FAN4Kids, including updating the website, social media engagement, and email campaigns.
    • Utilize online fundraising platforms to maximize donations through digital channels.
    • Analyze and report on digital marketing and fundraising performance to inform future strategies.

    City Council Outreach and Grants Management:

    • Cultivate relationships with local city officials and council members to secure city grants and support.
    • Oversee the application process for city grants and manage reporting requirements.

    Stewardship:

    • Develop a comprehensive donor stewardship plan to recognize and engage donors at all levels.
    • Create tailored communication and engagement strategies for individual and corporate donors to enhance long-term relationships.

    Donor Database Management:

    • Maintain up-to-date donor database to track all interactions, donations, and communications accurately.
    • Analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies and improve donor engagement processes.

    Volunteer Management:

    • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for fundraising events and initiatives.
    • Develop volunteer engagement strategies that foster long-term commitment and support volunteers’ connection to FAN4Kids’ mission.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in development, fundraising, or non-profit management.
    • Proven track record in securing grants and managing corporate sponsorships.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Experience in digital marketing, social media management, and online fundraising.
    • Proficiency with donor management software and data analytics.
    • Self-motivated, innovative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Salary: Commensurate with experience. Health benefits are negotiable.
