    About Building Impact:

For more than twenty years, Building Impact (BI) has partnered with companies to strengthen communities through volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to strengthen communities by empowering individuals and companies with the opportunity to volunteer, donate, and connect with high impact, local nonprofits working on critical social issues. In 2024, we worked with more than 58 companies, and engaged more than 11,000 volunteers resulting in $2.4 million total contribution in support of nonprofit organizations and communities across the United States.

    The Opportunity:

Building Impact seeks a team-oriented self-starter to support the organization’s growth by leading the creation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of its core business systems and impact reporting functions. The Senior Manager, Data & Growth Operations will play a key role in Building Impact’s plans for scaling its corporate volunteer programs by developing and implementing the systems to support effective and efficient workflows within and across the team. The candidate will have experience designing sustainable and user-friendly technology solutions to enable better impact, and experience providing training and support for team members utilizing the systems. Additionally, the Senior Manager, Data & Growth Operations will play a key role in developing robust impact measures for Building Impact’s work and collaborating with the Program team to deliver insightful reports for our clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

System Design, Implementation and Support (60%)

    • Apply a design thinking approach to the development and implementation of the tools and systems that support BI’s workflow from customer inquiry and/or outbound sales through program implementation and impact reporting.
    • BI currently uses Hubspot and the Google Suite as its core technical infrastructure, and has selected Monday.com as a project management tool (that is not yet implemented). This role will require an assessment of the current use of tools and systems, then the implementation of a plan to optimize the use of all tools and systems to enable scale and impact.
    • Following assessment and system design, develop and implement the necessary systems, structures and use cases for growth and scale.
    • If necessary, introduce new tools and resources to fill existing gaps based on ongoing needs assessments.

    • Ensure continued development and maintenance of an efficient data management system to effectively track engagement of BI’s clients.
    • Collaborate with the Program team to define impact measurements.
    • Maintain databases and build out dashboards as needed for internal and external uses.
    • On a weekly basis, enter data, calculate, and evaluate key impact metrics for each volunteer engagement with clients.
    • Enhance the process for collecting and analyzing data and use data guided analyses to help solve, inform, and support the team in making informed decisions
    • Translate data analyses into a compelling narrative for stakeholders by working closely with our Marketing team to creatively share the impact of each volunteer program with our clients.
    • Monitor and evaluate changes in social impact reporting standards.

Team Support, Training and Management (20%)

    • Serve as an internal resource for the team to implement systems and tools for better workflow and efficiency.
    • Provide training and ongoing learning and development for the team on the effective use of the team’s systems.
    • Serve as the primary contact for vendors with whom BI contracts for technical resources and subscription software systems.
    • From time-to-time, support organization-wide “all hands on deck” efforts with large client facilitations or all hands projects.
