    Description

    The International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC) coordinates print, online, and in-person educational activities to support medical and paraprofessionals to deliver quality, culturally responsive, and person-centered services to people living with and affected by HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis, as well as syndemic conditions. IAPAC also coordinates patient-oriented educational activities aimed at supporting informed engagement in medical and psychosocial care for HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis, including in relation to self-management.

    The Associate Director of Education will support efforts to leverage relevant research and institutional data to engage subject matter experts (SMEs) in innovative instructional design efforts. Responsibilities include working with the Senior Director of Education to design curricula for CME/CE-accredited and non-accredited educational activities, evaluating the success of existing activities, overseeing the delivery of materials provided by SME faculty members, and promoting educational programs to membership, community, and stakeholders. The Association Director of Education will be expected to:

    • Coordinate educational activities from concept to implementation complying with outlined learning objectives and outcomes measures at various Moore levels.
    • Manage programmatic budgets to comply with grant management frameworks for corporate, foundation, and government donors of the association’s educational activities.
    • Implement a process for the association to gain accreditor status for internal and external CME, CE, and other specialty accreditation for educational activities.
    • Liaise with the education activity SME faculty members to communicate and meet objectives and timelines for the association’s educational activities.
    • Generate internal and external educational activities outcomes reports including quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports, at various Moore levels.
    • Manage the educational grant proposal development processes, developing objectives, and indicators, and contributing to overall Education Department strategies.
    • Research ways in which to leverage technology as a resource in enhancing educational activities and promoting the association’s brand as a provider of educational activities.
    • Contribute to the planning and implementation of multiple educational activities including print, online, and live training programs.

    Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in education, public health, and/or other relevant area of expertise, and be able to demonstrate no less than five (5) years of experience in developing and managing in-person and online CME/CE-accredited educational activities.

    Candidates must have a valid passport. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to travel (domestic and internationally).

    • Have a sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and manage a complex workload.
    • Possess advanced organizational and multi-tasking abilities to triage priorities.
    • Possess strong verbal/written communication skills with a commitment to responsiveness.
