Requirements
The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) seeks a Senior Press Secretary to lead media engagement and strategy for C2ES policy and advocacy communications. Primary responsibilities include direct media engagement, development of communications plans, talking points and media release production, and managing tv and radio bookings and print interviews. The Press Secretary will work in coordination with Vice President of Communications to manage a booker and media consultant. The press secretary will also support communications teammates in website management, social media messaging, execution of live and virtual events, and other activities promoting C2ES products and activities to engage policymakers, the business community, the energy and climate research community, and other stakeholders. Qualified applicants will have at least 8 years of communications experience, strong existing relationships with climate and energy media contacts, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications.

Travel, Time & Location Requirements: C2ES operates a hybrid work environment from our main office at 1400 K Street NW, Suite 1100. Washington, DC. Due to the nature of this role, we will consider candidates local to the DMV area. In addition, the selected candidate is expected to work from the office three days per week.
Some domestic travel for events and conferences is required. Candidates must have the right to work in the United States.
