    Description

    Looking for a part-time Bookkeeper – between 5 and 10 hours a week

    Tasks include, but are not limited to:

    Generate electronic payments and generate paperwork for review/approval by the Treasurer

    Generate Checks

    Handle online payment processing and present paperwork for review/approval by the Treasurer

    Enter invoices into Quickbooks Online and code them correctly by category

    Scan invoices and approvals and sort into the correct folders in the Sharepoint Drive

    Generate general ledgers for grants/invoices

    Reconcile bank account quarterly

    Work with Executive Director, Deputy Director and Treasurer to generate reports for the Finance Committee

    Experience with NYC and NYS contracting preferred.

    Work should be predominately in the office, one day a week.

    Non-profit located in Sunnyside, Queens.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency and ease using Quickbooks Online.
    • Prior experience working with nonprofits in a bookkeeping capacity is a plus.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
    • High degree of professionalism and integrity, including confidentiality
