    Description

    Preschool Teacher Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment.

    Preschool Teacher Responsibilities:

    • Uphold our mission to offer a faith-based, play-focused program, rooted in community
    • Attend once-a-month staff meetings
    • Obtain 10 hours of Professional Development to be completed by the end of the school year
    • Serve as an emergency substitute throughout the school year, on prescheduled dates.
    • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual growth
    • Provide a safe and supportive environment for all children in the preschool program
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
    • Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
    • Create a daily routine that includes playtime and learning activities
    • Manage classroom behavior and encourage positive social interactions among children

    Preschool Teacher Skills:

    • Experience in nannying, babysitting, or working in a classroom setting
    • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
    • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and patient demeanor
    • Understanding of behavior management techniques for young children

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of classroom experience
    • Strong background in early childhood education
    • Proficiency in behavior management techniques
    • Previous experience working in a preschool setting
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
    • Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
    • Experience with children and childhood development
    • Knowledge of literacy education and preschool care
