    Job Description: Graphic Designer/ Production Assistant (Part-time up to 6 months)

    Reports to: Virginia Taddoni, Associate Director of Communications

    Schedule: 3 days/ 25 total hours maximum per week Work hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with availability for some event attendance/support during and outside business hours, including weekends.

    Location: NYC area – LINC is a hybrid work environment. Mostly remote with in-office and on-site requirements.

    Compensation range: $25-40/hour, depending on experience

    Position Summary:

    LINC seeks a Graphic Designer/ Production Assistant as a part-time employee or consultant to join its award-winning Communications & Development team to increase the visibility of LINC’s critical work. The role will focus primarily on the creation and promotion of external communications to support fundraising efforts, grow program engagement and position LINC as a leader in the early literacy and education justice space.

    Execute a range of print and digital creative products, including flyers, presentations, one-pagers, reports, swag, web graphics, and other marketing materials as needed. Ensure products align with brand identity and meet production specifications and deadlines. Prepare designs and files for both print and digital delivery.

    Support the communications team with requests as they come in from all departments (programs, collective impact, advocacy, and development). Quick turnaround and attention to detail while multitasking.

    Qualifications:

    • At least two years of experience in a combination of the following: graphic design, production, web design. Non-profit environment experience is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, and typography. Ability to follow style guides and apply branding to already existing materials.
    • High proficiency in Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite programs:
      • InDesign
      • Photoshop
      • Illustrator
      • Acrobat
    • Basic knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Video Creation & Editing. Intermediate use of Adobe Premiere. Adobe After Effects and IMovie are extremely helpful.
    • WordPress
    • Mailchimp and Account Engagement (Salesforce) for Digital Campaigns.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (with staff, partners, and other consultants) and task management.
    • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
    • On-site & Virtual Event Support - photography, video, and other duties, as needed.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Conversational familiarity with Spanish, as well as experience with multilingual layouts.
