    Position Summary

    The Special Education Aide assists in providing support to students with special needs. The Special Education Aide works closely with teachers and therapists to create a positive learning environment, assist with classroom activities, and help students develop essential skills for success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
    • Support students with daily tasks, including mobility, participation, and personal care as needed.
    • Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to reinforce learning.
    • Help students use assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
    • Encourage student engagement and independence in a supportive environment.
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student learning and development.
    • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom setting.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or relevant coursework preferred.
    • Experience working with children required; experience working with children with disabilities, preferred.

    Classification

    This is a full-time, non-exempt 10-month position located in Scottdale, Arizona.

    Compensation and Benefits

    CECA offers a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and Arizona retirement contributions. CECA staff also have opportunities to engage in robust-related professional development.
