    This position is full-time, working remotely but must be willing to work in person in the Seattle-area as often as once a week (some months just twice per month.) WCAAP requires that all employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Grants Manager to join our team. The Grants Manager will play a crucial role in securing funding for WCAAP by managing the entire grants process, from research and proposal development to reporting and compliance. This individual will work closely with program managers, finance, and leadership to ensure the successful acquisition and management of grant revenue to support our mission.

    Responsibilities:

    Grant Research, Prospecting and Identification:

    • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.
    • Stay informed about trends, funding priorities, and opportunities in our industry and our program services.

    Proposal Development:

    • Lead the development of compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with program managers to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
    • Write and edit grant proposals, letters of intent, impact reports for funders.
    • Promote our organization’s story and our impact in the community.

    Grants Management:

    • Oversee the entire grants lifecycle, from submission to reporting, ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with grantors and institutional donors, providing regular updates and fostering positive communication.

    Budgeting and Financial Reporting:

    • Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate and detailed grant budgets.
    • Monitor grant expenditures, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with financial requirements.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with program managers, finance, development staff, and leadership to align grant activities, grant revenue with organizational priorities.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships. Build relationships with current and prospective institutional funders.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluating grant-funded programs.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on program outcomes and impact.
    • Maintain an annual calendar of potential applications with relevant deadlines and resources needed.
    • Track applications submitted and revenue achieved.
    • Maintain grant metrics to report to leadership successes and challenges related to grants and funding.

    Qualifications:

    The minimum qualifications listed below (along with education/experience) are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform this job successfully.     1) Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus.

    2) Minimum of 4 years of experience in grants management within the nonprofit sector.

    3) Proven track record of successfully securing and managing grants.

    4) Strong understanding of budgeting and financial reporting for grants.

    5) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    6) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

    7) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    8) Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    WCAAP provides a stipend to cover health insurance premiums, IRA-matching, and generous time off benefits including up to 17-days of holiday pay, 3-weeks of vacation pay in the first year, and 12 sick-days per year.
