Executive Director of Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead the nonprofit organization with the Executive Director of Operations and work closely with the Board of Directors.
• Donor Relations & Engagement: Develop and execute strategic communication plans to cultivate current and prospective donors, ensuring financial sustainability for the ministry through long-term partnerships and engagement.
• Advocacy: Champion the vision of Nueva Vida to a diverse network of supporters, advocating for the ministry's impact in Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala.
• Professional Development: Support internal professional growth initiatives for Guatemalan staff, including mentorship and leadership development.
• Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning to guide the direction of the ministry, working closely with the other Director and leadership team.
• Integrity: Maintain accountability to those we serve through consistent and authentic communication; leading well through ethical, wise and vision-oriented decision making for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or related fields.
• Strong communication and networking skills with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Outgoing, passionate, and mission-driven personality with a commitment to the vision of Nueva Vida.
• Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities.
• Previous leadership experience in ministry or a faith-based environment is preferred.
• ​Bilingual Spanish/English language is preferred
