    The Capital Campaign Manager position is part-time (25-30 hours per week). This is a hybrid position, primarily working onsite in Washington, DC.

    Overview: We are a one-of-a-kind dual language childcare center that welcomes a mix of students whose tuition is subsidized by the local government or the federal government in addition to full tuition-paying families. We are a fixture in the community and experts have validated our early childhood education program as a model worthy of replication.

    Rosemount Center is undertaking the largest capital campaign in our 50+ year history. We seek an entrepreneurial, nimble, and organized professional to help us succeed in our $8M Capital Campaign to purchase and maintain our historic building and property.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Capital Campaign Manager will lead all aspects of a planned $8M Capital Campaign. In partnership with Rosemount Development staff and Campaign Counsel, the Campaign Manager is responsible for helping to lead the strategy for and management of the campaign operations, volunteers, and activities. This role also includes a front-line facing fundraising role managing a portfolio of campaign potential donors.

    DUTIES INCLUDE:

    Campaign Strategy

    • Work with the CEO, COO, Development team, Campaign Committee, and Board of Directors to implement the strategy for this $8 million campaign.
    • Manage cultivation and solicitation strategies for all campaign prospects through a personal portfolio of potential campaign donors and in overall management of the campaign pipeline assigned to various solicitors.
    • Support the campaign committee leadership and board in all aspects of their roles in the campaign.
    • Schedule, attend, and support all capital campaign planning and campaign committee meetings.
    • Support the COO, Development Manager, Board Members, and Campaign Committee Members in their fundraising efforts, as needed.

    Campaign Operations

    • Maintain and update campaign prospect lists and related materials.
    • Manage and coordinate all aspects of fundraising, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
    • Produce all capital campaign packets for prospect and donor visits with supporting documentation and follow-up correspondence.
    • Ensure campaign donors are acknowledged in a timely fashion.
    • Utilize key messages and case for support to create and distribute campaign communication pieces for donors and prospects, including electronic newsletters, mailings, and campaign updates.
    • Produce all campaign correspondence including letters of acknowledgment.
    • Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials and other duties as assigned for Campaign-specific events.

    Financial and Administrative

    • Handle all administrative details associated with internal and external fundraising-related meetings (i.e. prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, follow-up action items, etc.).
    • Prepare regular campaign reports to share with staff and volunteer leadership.
    • Ensure pledges and in-kind donations are documented and donor recognition is properly recorded.
    • Work with selected vendors on donor recognition signage (displays within space).
    • Maintain records regarding campaign gifts and pledges including payment schedules and the production of pledge reminders for outstanding pledge balances.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 5 years prior fundraising experience with proven track record of success in development operations including individual giving, corporations, and foundations.
    • Strong communication (speaking and writing), interpersonal, organizational, language, and computer skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively internally with senior leaders and Development team and externally with campaign committee, donors, and board of directors.
    • Effective people and process management experience in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Excellent project management, strategic thinking, and planning skills.
    • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work when necessary.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
