    Salary/hourly/exempt: $65,000-$85,000 (under consideration) depending on the qualifications and

    Position Description:

    The ACT Board of Directors seeks a Director for Organizational Growth who shall:

    • Provide leadership in acquiring contracts and partnerships.
    • Provide leadership in fundraising and grant writing.
    • Provide and follow up on client engagement opportunities resulting in contractual agreements for the ACT delivery of programs and services.
    • Work collaboratively with other ACT Directors to manage all business of the organization.
    • Collaborate with other Directors to support the ACT Board of Directors in providing reports to them on all ongoing operations including programming, scheduling, grants, and revenue and other such reports and needs the Board may have.
    • Share with the other Directors accountability for the mission of building racial equity and contributing to a racially just society, program management, and the financial sustainability of ACT.
    • Share with the other Directors the content development and customization of circles, workshops, webinars, and theme-based presentations.
    • Share with the other Directors the strategic direction of ACT including the vision, mission, goals, annual objectives, and plans.
    • Share with the other Directors the training, coaching, development, guidance, and certification of all facilitators, and
    • Share with the other Directors the overseeing and encouraging of facilitators to participate in professional growth opportunities.

    Scope of Supervision:

    This role is responsible for working collaboratively with other directors in the managing of a flat/non-hierarchical organizational structure that includes other Directors:

    • Director of Curriculum (15-30 hours)
    • Director of Operations (5-10 hours )
    • Director of Programming (15 hours)

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Builds relationships and provides leadership to secure ACT contracts
    • Designs and takes strategic and tactical actions in such areas as grant research and writing, fundraising, sales, social media, and outreach to increase engagement and impact
    • Partners with anti-racism organizations to expand services and build ACT opportunity
    • Participates in associations, organizations, or agencies representing ACT Works collaboratively with the ACT Directors in the fulfillment of their assigned tasks
    • Works collaboratively with the ACT Directors in overseeing the management of volunteers –maximizing their contribution to ACT success
    • Assists in the joint work of the ACT Directors including finances, curriculum, facilitator training, and the delivery of ACT program offerings and services.
    • Collaborates with other Directors in defining and redefining structures, operations, and other key factors that may contribute to the success of the organization.
    • Collaborates with ACT Directors and Board of Directors while holding authority in advancing and adapting ACT programs for the current market

    • Has outstanding communication and community leadership skills

    Entrepreneurial skills

    • Has skills and capacities to build relationships to secure DEAI contracts
    • Brings creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to expand the ACT as an organization
    • and its impact through it programs and services offered

    Management skills

    • Has experience in the successful management of finances including economic growth and
    • sustainability
    • Has experience in operational management and community outreach
    • Is available for remote work related to tasks and occasional in-person travel in the Twin Cities
    • and surrounding areas related to job responsibilities.

    Preferred Qualifications Desirables:

    • Leadership experience
    • Knowledge and experience with DEI
    • Past training from ACT/ASDIC (circle/workshops or comparable organization)
    • Compensation:
    • Salary range $65,000 - $85,000 (being considered)
