Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) is a multiservice, community-based organization serving New York City with a focus on western Queens. Established in 1974, SCS began offering licensed home care services in 1979 and introduced youth services in 1983. Today we provide a full range of human services to 16,000 individuals each year including children, youth, adults, and seniors. Our mission is to provide a continuum of vital services and activities that enrich the lives of individuals of all ages.
SCS has undergone significant programmatic growth over the last several years, which has strengthened our ability to provide an integrated continuum of services that meet a broad range of needs. SCS is seeking a candidate for a Contract Manager and Corporate Compliance Officer to support three corporations, including two licensed home care agencies and a community services organization.
The Contract Manager (70%) at Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing over 50 city, state, and federal government contracts annually for both SCS and Sunnyside Homecare Project. This position ensures that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations. The Manager collaborates closely with senior executives, program leaders, development and fiscal teams to monitor program deliverables and maintain adherence to compliance standards.
The Corporate Compliance Officer (30%) implements an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. In this role, the compliance officer collaborates with the Associate Executive Director of Home Care, Executive Director and Governing Board by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance and ethics efforts of the organization and provides guidance to the group.
