    Seasonal Groundskeeper

    June to August 2025

    Description

    The Seasonal Groundskeeper will support the maintenance and upkeep of the School’s 66-acre campus. The Seasonal Groundskeeper reports to the Director of Grounds and is a member of the Facilities team. Successful candidates must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate a high degree of customer service. With guidance from the Director of Grounds and other members of the Facilities Team, the seasonal Groundskeeper is expected to work independently and to show initiative, while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Facilities Department team. Responsibilities include mowing, raking, loading and unloading trucks, moving and setting up equipment, tending grounds and reporting concerns, and making minor repairs using simple hand tools. The normal work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday 7:00am –3:00pm. This position is eligible for overtime and overtime is available intermittently throughout the summer. This is a temporary, seasonal position from June to August 2025. This position is not eligible for benefits. Candidates must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and must be able to provide a work permit if under 18.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous related experience. Previous experience using push and power mowers is preferred.

    Candidates must be physically capable of:

    • Safely lifting and carrying up to 50lbs of a variety of equipment and materials including furnishings, bags of fertilizer and other turf treatments;
    • Performing repetitive tasks including stooping, bending, reaching, and carrying;
