    Job Title: Human Resources Director

    Organization: United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE)

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission by providing strategic guidance, leadership, and operational oversight for all human resources functions within the union.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work at the direction of the national officers in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the union's objectives and priorities.
    • At the direction of the UE Director of Organization, assist with recruitment and staffing processes, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
    • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, performance evaluations, and employee wellness initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to union leadership and members on HR-related matters.
    • Foster a positive organizational culture that values diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • 3+ years of progressive experience in human resources management, preferably within a unionized environment.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and collective bargaining or working within the confines of a CBA.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and innovation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
