    Description

    The Donor Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the mission of Ignatius House by ensuring that our donor acquisition and stewardship processes run smoothly. This position supports the Director of Development in achieving fundraising goals by handling key administrative tasks, supporting donor appeals, handling event logistics, and maintaining database accuracy. By freeing the Director of Development to focus on high-level strategy, the Donor Engagement Coordinator helps maximize the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and donor outreach.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Donor Stewardship and Acknowledgment:
      • Generate timely and personalized thank you letters and emails.
      • Maintain accurate records of donor preferences and history for enhanced relationship building.
      • Manage the monthly donor recognition program and prepare tailored updates.
    2. Database Management:
      • Maintain and update donor information in the CRM/database system.
      • Run regular reports on donor activity to identify trends, lapses, and opportunities.
      • Ensure data integrity by reconciling donor records
    3. Content and Communication Support:
      • Draft and edit donor-focused content, including e-newsletters, social media posts, and campaign materials.
      • Coordinate email and direct mail campaigns.
      • Assist in creating event invitations, thank-you messages, and campaign collateral.
    4. Event Support:
      • Assist in planning and executing donor acquisition and cultivation events, including logistics and communication.
      • Provide support for annual Inspiration Breakfast
    5. Grant Support
      • Track grant application and reporting deadlines and assist in drafting applications and reports.
    6. Administrative Tasks:
      • Manage the development calendar and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
      • Respond to donor inquiries via email or phone.
      • Handle incoming and outgoing development-related correspondence.

    Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
      • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
      • Ability to run reports in Excel, and analyze data
      • Proficiency in donor database systems (experience with Bloomerang preferred).
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
      • Passion for the mission and values of Ignatius House.

    This position is ideal for an entry-level to mid-level professional with 0–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields.
