    Position: Community Engagement Coordinator

    Reports To: The Director of Strategic Programs and Operations

    Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours a week

    Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, with one work-from-home day if desired. The hours are 10 am-6 pm Tues-Thurs, and 9 am-5 pm Fri-Sat.

    Salary: $45,000 to $50,000

    Overview:

    As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be integral to implementing our strategic vision for the Community Engagement Program (CEP). You will help lead our coordinated approach that integrates

    individual support, skill-building workshops, and community-building activities. Working at the intersection of direct service and community development, you will create inclusive spaces where Cambridge residents can access resources, build connections, and work toward their goals with dignity and support. Your role will be

    pivotal in expanding our impact through strategic partnerships and innovative programming.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Community Engagement & Partnership Development:

    • Develop and implement strategies to effectively engage with residents, community organizations, and

    stakeholders to foster meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships that enhance program

    offerings and community support networks.

    • Develop new community partnerships that support program participants.

    Individual & Family Support:

    • Support Cambridge individuals and families in navigating resources, with a focus on housing,

    employment, mediation, and food security. Provide compassionate, culturally responsive guidance to

    help community members overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

    • Co-create goal and action plans with program participants.

    Skill-Building Workshops:

    • Host various workshops to help the community build life skills, confidently use technology, and cultivate

    wellness.

    • Coordinate and facilitate educational opportunities that empower participants to develop new

    capabilities and confidence.

    Community-Building Events:

    • Build community by hosting events and gatherings that promote connection, fun, and a sense of

    belonging.

    • Create inclusive spaces where diverse community members can form relationships and support

    networks.

    Data Collection & Impact Measurement:

    • Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant engagement, and outcomes.
    • Use data to evaluate program effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and demonstrate our work's impact.

    Organizational Support:

    • Assist with broader initiatives and activities of the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House, including

    supporting the food pantry operations and contributing to special events such as Port Pride Day,

    Annual Turkey and Food Drive, Annual Holiday Gift Drive, Annual Gala, and other community

    gatherings.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in community engagement, direct service, program coordination, or a

    related field.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from

    diverse backgrounds.

    • Experience coordinating group activities and providing one-on-one support services.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex

    information to diverse audiences.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating

    flexibility and creative problem-solving.

    • Strong commitment to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion through authentic relationships

    and partnerships that center community expertise and lived experience.

    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new computer programs and systems; comfortable with basic data

    entry and digital record-keeping.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of Cambridge community resources and service networks preferred.
    • Ability to converse in languages other than English highly valued, particularly Haitian Creole, Spanish,

    or Chinese. Candidates with any level of proficiency in these languages are encouraged to apply.
